I am interested in the Paramedic
Program. How do I apply?

I have applied online, what are the next
steps?
You can expect to hear from a Center for
MEDICS representative within 48 hours of
submitting your application. After 48 hours,
if you have not received an email or phone
call, please feel free to contact
us.
Please make sure that you check the voicemail
and email provided on your application prior
to submitting your inquiry. Once you submit
your inquiry, you can expect to be contacted
with the appropriate information within
24 hours.
I have set up an interview date and time,
how should I prepare?
You should prepare for your Paramedic Program
interview in the same detailed manner that
you would prepare for any professional
academic or career interview. You can expect
to meet with an interview panel that may
include the Program Director, Medical Director
and other Center for MEDICS staff. Your
total interview process will take between
2 and 3 hours, so please plan accordingly.
We expect that you present yourself in
a professional manner, and in a professional
dress code. You will take an entrance exam
- please come prepared with a writing utensil
and calculator.
We expect you to arrive
in a timely manner. If you are late or
not dressed professionally, you will not
be interviewed.

I have never been to Pro EMS Center
for MEDICS. How do I get there and where
should I park?
Pro EMS Center for MEDICS is located at
31 Smith Place in Cambridge, MA 02138.
Parking is available in the lot, in any
space marked "Pro EMS"

I had my interview for the Paramedic Program.
When will I hear back?
You will receive notification via email
in one week's time.
Do you offer financial aid?
We do not offer financial aid through Sallie
Mae or other traditional lenders. We do,
however, offer a program called TuitionFlex. Your
payment options include credit card (MasterCard,
VISA, American Express), purchase order
from a town, fire department, or employer,
or TuitionFlex.
What is TuitionFlex?
TuitionFlex is a guaranteed, no credit
check, 9% interest loan program which is
an option available to all paramedic interns.
There is a non-refundable application fee
(3% of the total loan) paid to TuitionFlex
at the time of application, and there is
no pre-payment penalty.
All paramedic interns
accepted into the program are automatically
guaranteed enrollment in TuitionFlex.
If you choose TuitionFlex, you must be
signed up and approved prior to the start
of class. Aninitial payment is due two weeks prior to the start of class and the remaining balance may be repaid over 24 months. Contact us for further details.
What is the Refund Policy?
Students who terminate enrollment (including
voluntary resignation, illness, suspension,
or involuntary resignation or dismissal)
may be eligible for a refund.
Refunds will be determined
based on the schedule below. All refunds
will be made 30 days from the date of termination
from the program.
The termination date
is the last date of class attendance, as
verified by the faculty, or the date that
the notice in writing is either received
or postmarked, if mailed.
- Termination prior to
the first day of class (100% minus the
non-refundable $1000 deposit and application
fee)
- Termination during the 1st week of
classes until Sunday of that week (80%)
- Termination during the 2nd week of
classes until Sunday of that week (60%)
- Termination during the 3rd week of
classes until Sunday of that week (40%)
- Termination during the 4th week of
classes until Sunday of that week (20%)
- Termination during and after the fifth
week of classes (0%)
What Certifications will I graduate with?
If a student passes all components of the
Paramedic Program, they will graduate with
the following certifications:
- ACLS
- PALS
- FCCS
- PHTLS
- AMLS
- CEVO
- TCCC
- EMS SAFETY
- Standardized Awareness Authorized Training
Students will also be eligible to take
the National Registry Paramedic Exam as
well as the Massachusetts State Practical
and Written exam.
How long are the Clinical and Field
Internships? What are the hours requirements?
Our program requires each paramedic intern
to perform a clinical hospital internship
for 10 weeks totaling a minimum of 250
hours. Additionally, each paramedic intern
is required to complete a field internship
for 10 weeks, totaling a minimum of 250
hours.

What is National Accreditation?
Pro EMS Center for MEDICS was accredited
in 2010 by the Commission on Accreditation
of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)
upon the recommendation of the Committee
on Accreditation of Educational Programs
for the Emergency Medical Services Professions
(CoAEMSP).
