Course Description
The third PRO EMS Center for MEDICS paramedic program will begin Monday, January 12th, 2009 at 6pm. The course will be held on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6pm - 10pm, and on Saturdays from 8:30am - 5pm. Applications are received and evaluated on a rolling basis, with November 15th, 2008 being the deadline for application receipt.
We offer an accredited paramedic program with an outstanding history of experience and success. We cap our student intake at 30 paramedic interns per class. We welcome applicants from all EMS backgrounds and all are considered for admission on their own merits. Our aim is to select those applicants who have the greatest promise and commitment, and train them to the highest level of excellence.
The principal instructor for the program will be Chris Kerley, Director of PRO EMS Center for MEDICS. Chris has over thirteen years of EMS educational experience. He began his EMS career in Ireland, later working for many years as a Paramedic in South Africa, and most recently as a paramedic instructor for Northeastern University.
Pre-Requisites
Certification as an EMT-Basic or EMT-Intermediate.
Tuition
Tuition for the course is $8995, inclusive of all textbooks and other printed learning materials. Qualifying PRO EMS BLS providers will have the opportunity to attend the class for 50% tuition with no commitment upon completion of the course. Financial aid through Sallie Mae is available to those who qualify.
