| Course Description |
The third Pro EMS Center for MEDICS paramedic course is currently in session. Our next paramedic course will begin in early January of 2010, with another course being held in July of 2010. Applications are received and evaluated on a rolling basis.
We offer a paramedic education which is accredited and accompanied with an outstanding history of experience and success. We cap our student intake at 35 paramedic interns per class. Applicants from all types of EMS backgrounds are considered for admission on their own merits. Our aim is to select those applicants who have the greatest promise and commitment, and to train them to the highest level of excellence.
The principal instructor for the paramedic course will be Christopher Kerley, Director of the Pro EMS Center for MEDICS. Chris has over thirteen years of EMS educational experience. He began his EMS career in Ireland, later working for many years as a paramedic in South Africa, and most recently as a paramedic instructor for Northeastern University.
Our January 2010 paramedic program is held on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 0830 - 1800, Wednesdays from 1800 - 2200, and one Sunday per month from 0900 - 1700. After 24 weeks and a vacation, the schedule changes to only Wednesdays from 1800 - 2200 to accomodate clinical rotations.
Our July 2010 paramedic program is held on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 0830 - 1800, Thursdays from 1800 - 2200, and one Sunday per month from 0900 - 1700. After 24 weeks and a vacation, the schedule changes to only Thursdays from 1800 - 2200 to accomodate clinical rotations.
