| Course Description |
The mass casualty incident management course is designed for the advanced or basic EMS provider, and reviews the major factors that contribute to successful mitigation of an incident when overwhelming patient numbers are involved.
The course reviews EMS-oriented incident command roles (per the national incident management system), scene operations during a mass casualty incident, START (simple treatment and rapid transport) triage. Classroom lecture is supplemented by unique and innovative practical exercises. Class size 7 - 10 students.
