The 12-Lead ECG interpretation class teaches basic and advanced concepts related to interpretation of 12-lead electrocardiograms (please note that this class does not comprehensively cover basic cardiac arrhythmias). Topics discussed in thie class include:
• History of 12-lead electrocardiography
• Coronary circulation and cardiac conduction
• Augmented limb leads
• Precordial leads
• Atrial and ventricular hypertrophy
• Identifying acute myocardial infarction and ischemia
• Identifying old myocardial infarction
• Infra-nodal blocks and axis deviation
• Posterior myocardial infarction
• Pacemakers and transplants
• Pre-excitation syndromes
• Inflammatory processes and trauma
• Ventricular aneurysms and PTE
• Hypothermia
• Long QT syndromes
• Drug-induced changes
• Congenital presentations
